I truly believe the big corporations (oil, pharma, insurance, banking, etc.) have our government completely within their control. No matter which party is in office, the outcome is always the same. We are told exactly what big money wants us to know: the "facts" that are in their favor. <br /><br />Fact of the matter is, you just can't get elected without very big money behind you. Once in office they own you. Politicians are always going to vote based on the power of those who put them in office. And, unfortunately, that just isn't the individual voters any longer. I believe many people read and understand stories like this one. But, the really big issue is what the heck do we do about the vast majority of voters who just don't get it? I just try to be informed and vote my conscience. But, the Don Quixoti approach just isn't working as far as I can tell.
