As the "middle class" goes, so goes the nation. A reader suggested I might be paranoid. I respect and enjoy that "poster's" blog. I don't see myself so much a being paranoid as I am WORRIED. Not worried for myself, I am too old that I will just have to "make do", but our children and grandchildren are being left out of the equation. They cannot pay for all this debt that "we" are giving to non-productive receipients, both foriegn and domestic.
I DO NOT see this as a Democrat/Republican , "whose side or you on?" debate. The republicans (George Bush/Carl Rove/ Dick Cheney) have blugeoned us with excessive spending, just to buy votes, just as has all of Congress. It all sounds good but if we don't get our house in order, all this "give away" is going to cause the boat to sink.
I am not trying to convince anyone of anything. All I expect is for our elected officials, local through federal, to TELL THE TRUTH. Without that we cannot move forward..

I am thinking about pulling this site down. This was my original site because I believe that we are, by the media and our government, being fed information that is tainted. To me, it is scary how little people expect honesty from our elected officials and news media. No one seems to care that our liberities are being trampled upon. To put the "kill switch" for the internet into a single officails hands is just beyound belief, to me.
I believe that we have been fed "intertainment" for so long that we are unable to see the difference. I know many people who would not consider allowing their private lives go into the direction of the support and expectations they profess for our elected bodies.

I find it interesting that the arguing points now, seemingly since the Democrats seem to be in a little hot water, ask, “What are you (Republicans) going to “cut” in order to reduce the “Deficit”.

This is called a balance budget. (I am being kind of tongue in cheek). I know you know this.

Things are “rocking along lovely” ain’t they? One of your offspring comes home one day. I think it was a Tuesday.

“Hey, Mom and Dad, I borrowed your Visa and went to the mall. There were some great sales on and school is about to start and all my friends didn’t have any money, because they don’t work or go to school so I bought a bunch of lunch for everyone and then there was the arcade and when we left there we stopped at the Trazillion Plex Movie Cinema House and I paid for everyone to go to the movie because they don’t work or go to school, and well, they had to have pop corn and cokes and Milk Duds and Junior mints for everyone, and no one works or goes to school so I HAD to pay for all that and Ya’ll BOTH work and have 2000.00 dollars a month to spend and it was a GOOD thing that I had that piece of plastic (borrowed credit), so that everyone could have a GREAT time.

OK, here is Your Opportunity to TELL ME, what to do to fix this. There is plenty of COMMENT space.

I read a blog today. It was not about me. It was not about you. It, to me, seemed to be about US.

I normally just pass on articles that I assume will be more easily accepted by everyone because they are written by “experts”. They must be experts because these articles were published in various journals or magazines. While they usually share a part of my point of view, often I disagree with potions of the writing. I post and I have very few readers at this site. I have found that the “blogesphere” leans more often to the liberal view. Notice I didn’t say “side”.

What I have noticed is that in no period in history have we, as Americans, been herded into “different sides”. My belief is that this has been by design not by accident. I have noticed that people that would normally have a varied stance on issues have changed certain views, because the majority of their assigned “side” disagrees with that particular view. I wonder if anyone of you knows anyone like that. This is the real danger. Varied opinions are the backbone of a free society. The freedom to have these thoughts and let these thoughts be known. Here is a TEST. Until recently have you or anyone you know thought or spoke the thought, “I wonder if I should say that?” Lately,I have to confess I have.

I am not on the Republican “side” as a lot of my friends suggest. I am not on the Democrat “side” either. I am on “OUR” side. Mine and yours. We have a battle in front of us. No, not the election. Our battle is making sure that the people that we entrust with our government, we trust. It is “OUR” government. Not theirs. We MUST insure they are TRUTHFUL with US, the owners of our county(ies).

My goal is to write more about my opinion on this site. BUT, just as important, you are welcome to express your opinion. My intent is not to argue, edit or change anyone’s mind, but to use what I think are examples that formed my opinion. I am not an “expert” anointed by some publisher or government official because of some favor that I have passed on. My college major was Economics/Business and my whole adult career has been in the business field along with owning my own business. I feel like I am one of the most fortunate people I have ever known. This comes from many factors but one of them is living in one of the greatest countries and states in the world. I sure hope my kids and grandkids get to experience the same opportunity.

This is being pegged as "A Most Historic Day". It is, in fact, just that. Historic in that in all my professional career I have never experience a morning (7am-11am) and NOT ONCE got a call from an existing customer. This has happened this morning.

Earnings for the economy are off because of no sales. Social security taxes to government are way down due to short work day. Absolutely no sales taxes collected. Folks, this is where the money from all these "give away" programs come from. "Gitit"? WE need reform, I agree, but the only people that gain, will not be you. I know that is hard to believe.

I sent an email to Nancy Pelosi and asked her where all the economic activity that his new bill that was being signed today ( that 70% of the American People were AGAINST), was suppose to generate. This seemed to be her response.. Wake up AMERICA and read a book about what is going to happen.

Every day we get a contridiction. Even the liberal Associated Press says that what the White House is telling us, is NOT TRUE. More than one "Un seated" the incumbent or favorite. This is a good, low key organization contrary to the misinformation and name calling the "other side" is spouting.
